Heading home to Australia

Yes it is home now. But I am an American. I’m worried about my country. I came to make back to Wisconsin and stayed through early voting in person to make sure my vote would count.

I voted at 7 am Tuesday October 20th at the Sturgeon Bay city hall. I hoped there would be a line, but there were only two people ahead of me. Early voting goes through October 30th.

As we drove across Wisconsin to Minnesota we counted 11 democratic signs and 11 big signs for the Republicans Canidate for governor. It will be close. The Tom Tiffany the republican has lots of money from about three rich donors.

David Crowley just has what we can give him. Mostly I gave my time. I went canvassing and I handwrote 60 postcards. People are disgusted. Especially by the ads on both sides. We have to get the money out of these races. People can’t stand watching TV listening to campaigns day after day. But we need to vote.

Hopefully I talked a disgusted friend into voting despite all the ads. The democrates are running real candidates everyday people who want to make a difference. Be sure to go out and support them with your vote.

My last day in Door County we went up to Peninsula Park and watched the sunset over Green Bay. The sky was clear, but the light was strong through the cedar trees. Hopefully there is a strong light illuminating a new positive path forward for America.
