Sharing My Favorite Places
I’ve been there done that. It was beautiful. Then to go again and share that experience with friends and family. That to me is the real travel experience. Especially when that place is Maits Rest Rainforest Walk in Cape Otway, Victoria.

We traveled the Great Ocean Road out of Melbourne.
My partner drove the curves on and on and on, around and around again. The view were breathtaking.

We spent the night in Apollo Bay walking barefoot on the sand beach.
Then the next day it was a short drive to Maits Rest. It’s not a long walk or a difficult walk. Looking up into the canopy of tree ferns and ancient Myrtle beech trees some 300 years old, always leaves my mouth hanging open. Not just the trees and the ferns but the ferns and moss that grow on the trees covering them with green frills.

I’d love to move in the hollow tree and make it a home.
