We went from Hannibal to Ames, Iowa. We drove past miles of corn fields all higher than knee high. In Minnesota we used to say corn needed to be knee high by the 4th of July. It’s not quite July yet.
After an overnight and a visit with an outlaw at the marvelous Synthesis photo shop we continued on to Waseca Minnesota where we had the honor of staying at the private home of a Master Gardener. My Sister-in-Law has created an exceptional garden there.

We did a short stop in Minneapolis to do some shopping. They do not have a sales tax on clothes, it is a good place to buy essentials. I went to Schuler Shoes and got fitted for some excellent hiking boots and sandals.
